Chicken Soup
Ingredients
Whole Chicken
Pasta (orzo)
Potatoes (peeled and cut)
Carrots (washed & peeled)
1 Onion & Celery
1 Small Can of tomato paste or 1 cup of red sauce
1 Small Can of Diced Tomatoes
2 Cans of College Inn Chicken Broth (Any chicken Broth)
Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Parsley and Garlic Powder
1) Heat oil in a pot and add salt, pepper, parsley and garlic powder
2) Add the whole chicken along with the contents of the package (comes in the neck of the chicken) and add enough water to cover the top of the chicken.
3) Add potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, diced tomatoes, college inn chicken broth and tomato paste or red sauce into the pot
4) Stir until you bring it to a boil and then simmer for at least an hour
5) Make orzo pasta and then add it to the soup
6) Take the chicken out of the pot and put it into a pan
7) Add some fresh squeezed lemon and a scoop of the soup into the pan with the chicken
8) Put chicken into the oven and brown it for a second dish
Notes: You may shred pieces of chicken to add to your soup dishes
When straining the soup for vegetables make sure to put a pot under the strainer
Do not add the pasta to the soup until you are ready to eat or the pasta will suck up the soup
